He won't let you

He won't let you go through more than you can bear;
He knows it won't weigh you down and so allows it.
You will see at the end it will all work out for your good.
When you look back sometimes later
You will realise how God was with you through it all.
Trust Him through the darkness, He is carrying you.
He will never leave you.

A LOVE SONG

My darling,
The love I have for you,
Mouth cannot tell it all.
Even though our love was not at first sight--
Not even second or third or fourth sight--
I never imagined I could fall so hard for you,
Not for once.
But I did fall for you
And I hope to never recover,
My green green olives.

THE VOID SPELT G.O.D

Each time I get uptight and grouchy,
reacting at every slight provocation-
I know there is a void in me which needs to be filled.
Each time I feel unnecessarily dissatisfied about life,
feeling something is missing in spite of having 'all'
I know there is a void waiting to be filled.

This void is spelt G.O.D -
Every man has it,
great or small.
Every one experiences it,
saved or unsaved.

Truth is many do not realise it can only be filled by GOD,
So they think it will go if they make more money
or if they get more influential.
A lot feel it will leave if they become more beautiful
or go trans-sexual.
Several others try to 'increase' in good deeds
just for this void to vanish.
Many a dignitary had killed him(her)self because of this void
and a number of commoners too.

If only they knew that the only one who could fill the void was GOD!
If only they knew that all they ever really wanted was GOD-
Not more fame or wealth;
Not more goodness or nicety;
Not more silver or gold;
Not more beauty or pomp
Not more power or influence--
For in Him all things consist
and if you have Him,
everything else runs after you.

MY PLEA

Dear Lord, I ask:

That I will never see as normal what is abnormal to You;
That I'll never take as sane what You consider insane;
And that I do not laugh at what You frown at.

This is my plea through Christ the Lord. Amen.

I bet that will give her joy.

All the troubles and challenges,
Which I have known over the years till now
Have only succeded in pulling me closer to Him,
Closer to Him.

Through the tears and pain,
I have come to know His love and care more
Because He is my constant Friend,
My constant Friend.

He listens to my stories and rants.
He gives me songs in the night time.
And with the comfort He comforts me with I comfort you,
I comfort you.

THEY ARE ALL YOURS

Lord,

All the attention and admiration;
All the compliments and doting;
All the beauty and elegance--
They all belong to You.
Yes, they are all Yours.

All the recognition and elevation;
All the posh and luxury;
All the sweetness and loveliness--
They all belong to you.
Yes, they are all Yours.

THROUGH THE NIGHTS

Yes, there have been nights,
And a whole lot of them.
But true to His Word,
He has always been there
To hold and carry me through.

There will yet be more nights,
This I know,
For that's what life is all about--
There can never be a day without a night--
But I know He will bear me through them all,
Like an eagle does her eaglets,
Both now and forevermore.

I FACED MY FEAR

I did it again,
I faced my fear--
This numbing fear.
But this time I won,
And my fear failed.
My heart was right in my mouth,
Beating real hard in my chest.
But I did it.
We did it--the Lord and I.
He helped me numb my fear.

SHINE, SUN, SHINE

You awoke quite early this morning
Golden in the sky and smiling down at us.
It promised to be a warm day, I knew it right from my room--
As I walked out with my jacket slung across my shoulder, hands gloveless.
Shine, Sun, shine--
Your warm glow we delight in.

A Man of Valour

Have you seen a man of valour?

He is real in every way.

He knows his own worth and is content.

He strives to be the best he should be without riding on others.

He is secure.

He is not miffed by a woman's success

Nor do women of means get him off-balance.

He is strong and yet kind.

He watches after the women and children in his life

He helps out in chores at home--

Whether he be a brother or a husband.

He does not relinquish his responsibility as the head to his wife in any way.

He is the breadwinner at home.

He is not lazy, he is diligent.

He appreciates his wife's effort in being his helpmeet.

He does not manhandle his wife, he is patient even when provoked.

He does not discourage his wife from moving forward in life.

He values every sacrifice she makes to keep the house.

He holds no secret from her.

He loves and protects her.

He does not cheat on her.

He LOVES God and dances to His tune--

Such is my own man.

HE IS TROUBLED BY YOUR TROUBLES

Be encouraged that He is troubled when you are troubled;
He feels your pains and will come and save you.
He might seem to delay in coming,
But believe me, He will come and save you.
He won't be a picosecond late,
He will come at the nick of time
And He will be glorified.

GRATEFUL

Am I not grateful Lord!
You have been faithful
And have brought me this far.
My ever present Helper.
The captain on my ship;
The pilot aboard my plane.
My refuge and shelter.
My joy;
My peace.
My sweet music;...
My dancing steps.
The Giver of my smiles and peals of laughter.
My Muse.
My hope.
My Provider.
My dreams come true.
My glory and the Lifter of my head.
My beauty.
My righteousness.
My Healer.
My Merciful One....
